Strengthening Cervical Cancer Screening Referral Pathways in Resource-Limited Settings: A Multicountry Implementation Study (Demonstration Article)
Website demonstration notice: This synthetic manuscript was created exclusively to test the AORTIC Journal of Cancer Research website and publication workflow. It does not report real participants, clinics, patient records, or outcomes. Background: Delays between abnormal cervical cancer screening results and diagnostic follow-up can weaken otherwise effective screening programmes. Methods: A synthetic multicountry implementation dataset representing 12 clinics and 2,400 simulated screening encounters was used to model a referral pathway intervention combining standardized navigation, referral tracking, and weekly multidisciplinary review. Results: In the simulated dataset, referral completion increased from 54% to 76%, median time from abnormal screening to diagnostic evaluation declined from 31 to 18 days, and documented referral closure increased from 61% to 89%. Conclusion: This demonstration illustrates how implementation-science findings could be presented in AJCR.
